Wiegandt, studied law and received his Ph.D. in law (Dr. iur.) with a thesis in constitutional theory from the University of Göttingen/Germany; passed the German bar; worked at the German Federal Ministry for International Cooperation; Master in International Relations (M.A.L.D.) from the renowned Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University; Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Human Rights Program; J.D. from the Boston University School of Law; numerous publications on German and American constitutional law; regularly reports as a correspondent for Recht und Politik on legal and political developments in the US; lives in Wareham, MA, where he practices immigration law.
