Beschreibung
Rhetoric prepares the ground for action. It is essential to social change and social stability. Hence the essays in this book will introduce the reader to the cultural narratives of the Dagaaba of Ghana and show how community beliefs and values are enacted in ritual celebrations, as well as in advocacy campaigns and social movements. Critical Essays on Dagaaba Rhetoric is a pioneering effort in expanding the scope of rhetoric beyond the mainstream of the discipline. As an entry point into Dagaaba rhetoric, this book will be a stimulus for further research on Dagaaba rhetoric.
