JG Danso wrote this book for kids, young people, their families and educators to learn about Marsha P. Johnson. It is a book to celebrate the work she did to fight for the human right to love with Pride.
Marsha P. Johnson died in New York in 1992. She is famous for great fashion and a big heart. She loved to wear flowers in her hair. She and her friends started a riot at the Stone- wall Inn in New York that led to the LGBTQIA+ Pride movement we celebrate today.
In a Thousand Ships Colouring Book; readers can enjoy poetry, illustrations and colouring whilst learning about an important LGBTQIA+ figure. It also includes a glossary of words to help readers be better allies to highly intersectional LGBTQIA+ communities.
