Onion is one of the most commonest vegetable cum condiment crop in India known as Queen of Kitchen. It has also many medicinal values & can be used directly for preventing gastric ulcers etc. India ranks II position in area & production of onion in the world. Presently, farmers are using chemical fertilizers abruptly for taking its optimum yield resulting many adverse effect on human health & soil fertility. Therefore, it becomes essential to decide the quantity of organic fertilizer by maintaining the yield without use of chemical fertilizer. Looking to the importance of above aspect, present investigation was taken to study the effect of different organic, inorganic sources of nutrients & bio-fertilizers on growth, yield and quality of onion with the economic viability. The results revealed that overall growth of plants were influenced with 100% Recommended Dose of Fertilizer (RDF) through Vermi compost + Phosphorus Soluble Bacteria (PSB) + Azotobactor at 30 and 60 days of transplanting. The total yield & allylpropyl content also increased with 100% RDF through Vermi compost + PSB + Azotobactor with maximum gross return, net return and cost benefit ratio.
