Easy-to-read language is becoming increasingly important for the public sector. Authorities are legally obliged to provide information in plain language in order to enable people with mental or psychological disabilities to communicate without barriers. Sonja Abend analyses the views of public authority employees, the legal framework and compares easy-to-read language with citizen-oriented administrative language. On this basis, she develops the concept of plain administrative language.
