This volume gathers an international team of scholars to present the thought of the philosopher and mystic Jacob Böhme through his core concepts. One of the most important German thinkers, Böhme made an impact on philosophy, art, literature and religion that resonated well beyond seventeenth-century Germany and that still persists today. Böhme's dense language drew on discourses as diverse as Christian devotional literature, alchemy and kabbala.
