In his collages, the Berlin architect Klaus Theo Brennerwho coined the term "Stadtarchitektur," or urban architectureengages with both the urban mix and public space. The collages reflect a broad spectrumsometimes coming closer to his office's projects, sometimes less so. What they have in common is an atmospheric compression and the elaboration of theatrical qualities. The numerous works, presented together in this volume for the first time, convey an architecture that is always situated in an urban context, in relation to the citys inhabitants and the reality of their lives.
