The opéra Bouffe "Victory over the Sun" - Futurist opera by Mikhail Matyushin and Alexei Kruchenykhn -, was reconstructed at the Moscow Stas Namin Theatre of Music and Drama in 2013 in close callaboration with the Russian Museum. In the reconstruction, the complete text of Alexei Kruchenykh's libretto was used, as well as fragments of Mikhail Matiushin's music, which had been published in various sources (arranged by Alexander Slezunov). All of Matiushin_s notes and remarks related to the character of the sound were taken into account. The production included the prologue written by Velimir (Victor) Khlebnikov, as well as a preserved recording of Alexei Kurchenykh's voice at the conclusion of Victory Over the Sun. Costumes and sets done by Kazimir Malevich.
