Elimination of measles has been achieved in some regions of the world; however this has so far been unattainable in the African continent In recent years, there has been a remarkable increase in Measles cases among children particularly in northern Nigeria including Kano. Presently the UNICEF, WHO and other philanthropic bodies making concerted effort to eliminate this infection from Nigeria. This study is another attempt to assess immunity status against measles in children, which may provide data to the government to find a proper solution to the childhood measles problem in Nigeria.

Worked in Hospital laboratory for five years. Currently working with Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria, as Assistant lecturer and PhD candidate Immunology at TUMS-IC.
