This book offers an interdisciplinary approach to the revaluation of the enduring themes and key women characters from Arthurian tradition in Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s artistic corpus, emphasizing how his vision was not merely illustrative or plainly derivative of pre-existing textual sources.
Autorenportrait
José María Mesa Villar began research into Rossetti in 2004, upon receiving a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education (within the framework of the FPU University Teacher Training Programme). He holds an MA and a European PhD in English. His articles have been published in a variety of indexed journals, and his papers have been very positively received in international conferences hosted by the universities of Dundee, Arizona, Coimbra, Porto and Oxford Brookes. He is currently a lecturer and researcher at UCAM – Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (Spain).
