Beschreibung
This handbook provides a framework for understanding how to characterize plastic manufacturing processes for use in troubleshooting problems. The technical level is for process engineers and production personnel. The 22 chapters are authored by well-known and experienced engineers who have specialized knowledge about the processes covered in this practical guide. The book is divided into three parts: Part 1 introduces the philosophy of troubleshooting, the economics and management of troubleshooting, and outlines how to use statistics for process characterization and troubleshooting. Part 2 deals with plastics processes that use extrusion. Part 3 deals with plastics processes that do not use extruders and has a special chapter on static.
